Five Dock, AUS. (April 28, 2018) – The Vans BMX Pro Cup Australia regional qualifier event closed out at Five Dock Skatepark yesterday, showcasing a solid line-up of over 50 rising BMX talents. After five heats of charged BMX action, Australia natives swept the podium as local hero and crowd favorite Ryan Saville claimed a triumphant first-place, securing his invite to the Vans BMX Pro Cup World Championships and earning a spot on the remaining 2018 Vans BMX Pro Cup World Tour. Tracking close behind, Perth’s Shane Ellis’ high-speed riding and massive air-time awarded him second place, while Brisbane’s Cody Pollard’s natural, fast-paced style granted him third, joining Saville and Ellis with their hard-earned invites to the series’ grand finale in September.
The first official Vans BMX Pro Cup event of the season kicks off today, as the top 19 rankings from yesterday’s regional qualifiers join the series’ Tour Pros, event invitees and qualifiers in the highly-anticipated inaugural event of the season. Watch the live webcast on www.vansbmxprocup.com!
